The MSP Foundation & Practitioner Qualification Course is a thorough 5 day course in which delegates will be provides with the tools, skills and information needed to manage and complete a complex programme and to gain the MSP Foundation & Practitioner qualification.

The course materials used on the MSP Foundation & Practitioner course materials are based on the 2011 manual edition: ‘Managing Successful Programmes’ – the examinations for MSP are based upon this manual.

In order to certify that all delegates receive the maximum high standard of training, MSP Training’s trainers are regularly evaluated and examined on their knowledge on both Programme Management and the MSP methodology. The MSP trainers and course resources are altogether accredited by APM Group Ltd; every one of our trainers has 10 years or more hands on experience of the Programme Management world, thus they are able to impart expert knowledge to the delegates, aiding them in gaining the MSP Foundation & Practitioner qualification.

MSP Foundation & Practitioner Training:

As a result of booking a MSP Foundation & Practitioner Qualification course with us, MSP Training will subsequently send out MSP Foundation & Practitioner pre-course work to the candidate via email and PDF Files. This work comprises of:

• 3 sections of the MSP manual ‘Managing Successful Programmes’ – Introduction, Principles and Introduction to Themes.
• A Pre-course workbook that is to be completed and handed in to the correct trainer at the beginning of the course.

MSP Training recommends that delegates spend approximately 10-15 hours completing the MSP Pre-course work prior to the course commencing date.

Indeed, subsequent to booking and confirming a MSP Foundation & Practitioner course with us, Joining Instructions (including maps, the course location and schedule timings) will be also sent out to the delegate via email.

NOTE: Delegates will be set a MINIMUM of 2 hours homework every evening of the course – this will be set by the instructor and must be completed without failure.

Exams:

MSP Foundation – PASS MARK: 30 out of 50

The MSP Foundation examination is an 50-question multiple choice examination. Providing delegates are successful in this examination, the MSP Foundation Qualification will indicate that the delegate would be more than able to act as an informed member of a Programme Management Team; the MSP Foundation course provides the delegate with the fundamental tools and elements that are essential to use in order to control a programme, using the MSP methods.

MSP Practitioner – PASS MARK: 40 out of 80

NOTE: A prerequisite for the Practitioner examination is to have passed the MSP Foundation examination. The MSP Practitioner exam includes an 80-question Objective Test Examination and is the top-level MSP qualification. Delegates will be qualified as a fully trained Programme Manager after completing and passing the MSP Practitioner exam.

When your elearning package has been confirmed, you can choose examination arrangements, which are flexible to accommodate your availability and location:-

• Option 1 - Sit the MSP examination(s) at a www.prince2training.co.uk training centre (Currently UK only, and requires 7 working days notice for exam scheduling. Contact us on info@prince2training.co.uk if you would like to take this option.
• Option 2 - At your convenience, one of our advisors on the elearning training team can schedule an exam at a physical location close to you. This will take 14 days to arrange, please contact us on info@prince2training.co.uk with your location information and distance that you can travel.
• Option 3 - Some find it best or are required to sit the MSP exam in a British Council Office, available in 6 continents around the world. We can arrange an examination voucher for you to make your booking at http://www.apmg-international.com/en/qualifications/public-exams/british-council-bookings.aspx . If this is the option you have chosen, please infom us at info@prince2training.co.uk.
• Option 4 - It is possible to sit the MSP exam in your own home, worldwide, by Remote Proctor (More information is available under the Online Exams tab.) There are charges incurred to arrange this option and send out the proctor hardware and software to you, which vary by location. Please allow 21 days for exam booking and dispatching of the proctor. The Remote Proctor Option

There's no point in learning remotely but then having to travel and take time out to sit the examinations and earn your accreditations. Therefore we offer the Remote Proctor option, which was developed to offer our delegates to sit exams in their homes or another suitable location - anywhere with internet access and at any time that our staff are available to oversee the session. This option is great for those who live in remote areas or have difficulty travelling to and accessing a physical exam centre. The test content is the same as is found in the classroom exam and the accrediation level is the same.

To ensure compatibility between you, your PC and the Remote Proctor, we carry out a system check. Once this is passed, the device and an operation guide are delivered (which will incur a small fee for couriering depending upon your location.)

You must use a Windows PC (rather than a Mac or Linux OS) to sit your examination, which should meet the following minimum requirements:

• Minimum of 512MB RAM for XP
• Minimum of 1GB RAM for Windows Vista and 7
• Monitor Display Resolution of 1024x768 pixels
• Windows 7, Vista or XP
• Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 8 or above)
• 1Mb/s Internet Speed (For best results please use a wired connection rather than WIFI)
• The rights to install and run programs as an Administrator.

When sitting the exam you will be constantly monitored by somebody trained to spot anything suspicious, such as repetitive movement, background noise or others in the room. If your exam session is found to feature any of these events, the BCS administration team are immediately notified and a video of the exam is sent to the board. 

You can book your remote proctor exam by contacting us at info@prince2training.co.uk after you have received confirmation of your elearning package. Please allow 21 days from booking for us to order your exam and dispatch your Remote Proctor manual and device. You have 12 months from your course payment date to then complete an exam as examinations have a one year validity period. Successful examination candidates then receive accrediation that has no expiry date.

Yes, our MSP online elearning courses are fully accredited by BCS, the examining body.

Am I provided with an official MSP course manual?
Yes, we provide you with the offical “Managing Successful Programmes” 2011 manual once payment has been made. This will be couriered to a suitable delivery address. If your delivery address is within United Kingdom, your study manual will reach you within 3 to 5 business days. If your delivery address is outside United Kingdom, your study manual should reach you within 5 to 8 business days.

What is a Global Live Session?
The primary purpose of the GLS (Global Live Session) is to bridge the gap between classroom training and online self-learning.  It aims to provide you with an opportunity to interact with the tutors through an online webinar platform. The live sessions would be conducted for about an hour and would be divided into two sessions of about half an hour each. In the first session, the tutor would cover important elements in the syllabus and provide references to the manual and examination tips. The second session is allocated for you to ask any questions related to the syllabus and examination.

What is the Walk in Clinic?
The Free UK Walk in Clinic provides you an opportunity to meet our highly qualified trainers, face to face, at one of our training centres. You can put together all your questions related to the subject and use this session to discuss them with the tutor. Due to high demand and volumes, the Walk-in Clinic sessions are required to be booked in advance. Please contact us on 0800 0355 832 to book your session. The MSP elearning programme is an interactive course built around a case study which is to help you understand the core objectives of the MSP methodology.

What is your Blended Classroom & Elearning package?
You take the MSP online Foundation course and attend the instructor-led MSP Practitioner course at one of our training venues

What is the validity period for my elearning course?
The delegate is given a standard access duration of 90 days from the first day of login. Total Learning Hours (10). Full time studies (5 days) Part time studies (5 weeks)

Can I take the course via CD or DVD?
There is no requirement to take the course via CD or DVD as the Learning Management System provides you with content that is constantly updated and has significantly more features which are updated in real time.
