This focused 2-day course is designed for professionals who have already achieved the Foundation qualification and are ready to apply the Five Case Model in practice, developing, assessing, and delivering comprehensive business cases that stand up to scrutiny and secure investment approval.
Better Business Cases™ (BBC) Practitioner is an APMG International-accredited qualification that builds directly on the Foundation-level knowledge of HM Treasury’s Five Case Model. At Practitioner level, the focus shifts from understanding the framework to applying it: delegates work through realistic investment scenarios, develop each of the five cases in depth, and learn how to produce a coherent, evidence-based spending proposal across all three stages of the business case development lifecycle, from the Strategic Outline Case (SOC) through to the Full Business Case (FBC).
Widely adopted across the UK public sector and increasingly used in private and third-sector organisations, the Practitioner qualification demonstrates a professional’s ability to translate strategy into funded delivery. Upon completion, you will be equipped to lead business case development projects with confidence and present persuasive investment proposals that align with organisational objectives and Green Book guidance.
